Dying to self – Living for CHRIST

Apostle Paul mentions two primary things for a Christian life.

Philippians 3:7
But whatever were gains to me, I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.
He’s leaving all his benefits, comforts, and standards for the work of Christ.

Today, many Christians were unable to keep aside their benefits, comforts, and standards to work for Christ.
The God-given job, money, position, wisdom, standard, etc. became a hindrance for them to work for Christ.

Likewise, Paul, we must be willing to keep all those things aside for the sake of Christ.

Philippians 3:8
Apostle Paul considers leaving all his benefits, comforts, and standards for the knowledge of Christ.

Today, many Christians were unable to keep aside their benefits, comforts, and standards to know about the revelation of Christ.

The God-given job, money, position, wisdom, standard, etc. became a hindrance for them to spend time in knowing the revelation of Christ.

They are unable to spend their time and money to acquire knowledge and revelation of Jesus Christ.

This ignorance is making many believers fall.

Ensample
1 Kings 10:1-12
The Queen of Sheba came to King Solomon with gifts to acquire the knowledge from him (God-given knowledge). She travelled from a far corner of the earth to listen to wise Solomon (Matthew 12:42).
She left her money (brought gifts).
She left her time (travelled a long distance).
She left her work (she’s a queen).
And came to Solomon to acquire wisdom of God so she was successful in her life.(God’s wisdom makes a man successful)
How can we say that she’s successful?
The answer is Matthew 12:42.
The Queen of the South will rise at the judgement with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom.

Likewise, the Queen of Sheba, we must be willing to keep all those things aside to acquire knowledge and revelation of Christ.

Philippians 3:13 -14
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Apostle Paul, ignoring the past things and striving forward to finish the purpose that God assigned for him for which he receives a reward.
Likewise, we must ignore the past things which are used by Satan as a stumbling block to pull us back or to stop us from finishing our purpose that assigned by God.
