Unlocking Purpose of your Life

In the secular world, we often hear that one should have a purpose for their life, and we hear from social influencers that one must find out the purpose of their life. It sounds good when we hear this purpose and assignment for our lives, but how many of us really know the purpose of our individual lives?

Being believers, do we need to have any purpose to live?

Are we called into his inheritance just to spend our eternity with God in heaven, or do we need to fulfil any assignment before finishing our race?

The Bible clearly says, we’re predestined for salvation before the foundations of the world.
So we’re called into salvation.
2 Thessalonians 2:13 “But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. “So, we’re saved and leading a Christian life by growing into the fullness of Christ, which gives eternity.

But the question is, do we need to finish any specific work before finishing our race?

Is there anything between salvation and heaven?

Yes, the Bible clearly says
2 Peter 1:10 “Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.”
You’ll not stumble if you seek these things with diligence.
After receiving salvation, one should grow in the fullness of Christ and be diligent in conforming to his election.

God has called you into salvation, and he has also appointed each and every individual with a specific task to be performed for the kingdom of heaven.

Apart from the fivefold ministry, God appoints everyone to specific duties. That duty includes either establishing the kingdom of God or supporting the establishment of the kingdom of God.

The main strategy of evil is to stop you from knowing the purpose of your life.
Many people (believers) finished their lives without even knowing their purpose in life.
2 Corinthians 2:11 says, “so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.”

But, we should not be ignorant of God’s plan and purpose.

If we know our purpose in life and have a vision from God, then we’ll not stumble in life.

When we face unfair situations and struggles in life, this purpose and vision will lead us forward just by overcoming the issues.

If we see the lives of Joseph and Abraham

Joseph had a vision from God, which is his purpose in life, so when he was troubled, despised, and persecuted, he did not stumble because he knew his purpose and plan with God and what God was going to do through his life.
He just focused on that purpose and vision and faced all the odd situations in his life.

Likewise, Abraham

He knew the purpose and plan of God for his life, waited patiently, and faced all the odd situations in his life.

If we look at the life of King David, when he committed sin, he was not moved away from God with guilt; instead, he repented and came to his feet for forgiveness. He acknowledges his identity and his purpose in the sight of God, so he is able to reconcile with God again. Likewise, though you fall prey to temptations, your vision and purpose will make you turn back to God.

Knowing the purpose of our lives keeps us strong and confident in leading our lives and also keeps us finishing our assignments in this life.

Seek God to know the purpose of your life.
Focus on that purpose.
This is the perfect ending to the Christian life.
